Department of Family Services/Aging Services Division:

The Department of Social Services Emergency Food Assistance Program:
Acts as a clearinghouse for the distribution of donated food. Over 30 local community pantries and shelters currently participate in the program. All food is provided to eligible individuals and families free of charge. (301) 909 - 7000; Visit Website
Fish of Laurel Inc. (Aka Elizabeth House):
An all-volunteer non-profit that helps feed hundreds of food-insecure neighbors each week. Volunteers prepare and serve hot meals 365 days a year and operate a food pantry twice a week. (240) 547 - 9013; Visit Website

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP):

Sowing Empowerment and Economic Development (SEED):
Collectively serving more than 18,000 children and adults annually, SEED provides food, education, and training while promoting self-sufficiency and empowerment directly to low-to-moderate-income families. SEED’s impact encompasses education and community development, as well as an array of community services, including food and diaper distribution, housing counseling, financial education, and healthcare enrollment.

Develops innovative affordable housing, revitalizes neighborhoods, and equips people to achieve their housing and financial goals.
